County Communications Supports Child Safety and Child Safety Laws in Our Community
Because of our direct involvement with law enforcement, the media, and secure communications, County Communications is taking an active role in child safety. We have had direct involvement in the search of missing children as well as providing information about missing children to the public.
As the Internet evolves, it can be used as a dangerous tool against our children. We as Adults, Media, Law Enforcement, Attorneys and Parents or Guardians must all play an active role in the prevention of the exploitation of children.
It is critical to inform our children of the risks involved with the Internet.
Predators use the Internet, along with other means, to prey on children. Children who are not educated about these dangers are vulnerable. The predator can see these children are vulnerable and will take advantage of them.
We can use these same tools to stop them. Be aware of what's out there and what you can do to keep your child safe. Be diligent in knowing what your kids are doing while online.
The problem of missing and exploited children is the single largest problem of our society today and it is necessary that we are all involved in prevention of this crime and the severe prosecution of those involved in perpetrating this crime.
As US citizens we can send a message to our government that this will not be tolerated in our community. Our children's safety needs to be put first, and local government needs to know child safety laws, and the strict enforcement of penalties need to be a priority.
Please visit www.missingkids.com, this is one of the best websites I have seen and it will give you the tools and the knowledge to protect all of our children. To see a list of children missing in New Hampshire click here, in Maine click here.
We have a portable base station and handheld radios available to law enforcement (free of charge) for their use in the event of a missing child. Please contact County Communications to check availability and make arraignments. Email requests to mail@countycomm and put "missing kids" in the subject line.
